Im a Hustler Baby, ...

O Philadelphia. So yesterday I was taking a nap, and I woke up all of a sudden with the amazing idea. The idea was to go into center city (philly) and play my drum with a cardboard sign saying “help a brother out”. So this morning I did just that. So I got an old cardboard box out of the trash and made a sign, then got my drum, and hopped on the train(i actually had to borrow money for the train which help me get in the right frame of mind). Off I went. I walked around the city to try to find a busy area that people might have cash to throw at me. So I stopped sat down and started pounding out the beats letting the rhythm flow through the streets. It was a glorious sound and I was positive it moved the souls of all around me. I did this for maybe an hour or more. It was in the heat of the day(not to brite on my part). With probably heat index of 110, just a guess. But as i continued to pour out the refreshing sound of my drum, I knew that the rhythm was moving people. The Rhythem moved the people so much, that they never stopped to drop money in my hat. So, as long as I look at it that way my day was a success. All well. So my conclusion is people in Philly are cheap. But hey you know, you only live once and I always wondered how lucrative hustling on the streets was. I found out I should never go homeless cause I’m not good at it. So there it is, yet ANOTHER exciting day from the lens of Chris Schwartz.

The Christening

O man, so this is my second week here in Philadelphia, and my first blog post EVER!!! AWESOME!! So life here is crazy(i guess i say everything is crazy though), it has its ups and downs and side to sides. Its good. So you ask what do I do... this is what I do here in the city of brotherly Love. I skateboard around the city, drink coffee and read and think, I play football with the kids on the block, and work at the homedepot in the hood. Its cool. College starts Oct 2. So you can through up a few prayers to the big man up stairs that He would hook a brother up with some loot to pay for this escapade. I'm also currently looking for more work so I can save some money.

But life is good, God is better. Learning a lot and being challenged out the game. I guess thats what happens when you decide to pack up and cruise on out in to uncharted waters.

One exciting thing I did was read a book. Mind you I haven't probably read a whole book since early middle school. So that is a great accomplishment for me. It is actually quite inspiring to me and lets me know that I am bound for great things (cause I read a book in three days) This book was amazing! it wouldn't have gotten finished had it not been amazing. So at this point you must be asking "So tell us the book" . Ok, a dear friend of mine Madie sent it to me. the title is Velvet elvis, and the title is Rob bell. Get it! its soo good but brace yourself for it.

Well sorry for a long post I don't know how these things are supposed to go.
