Im a Hustler Baby, ...
O Philadelphia. So yesterday I was taking a nap, and I woke up all of a sudden with the amazing idea. The idea was to go into center city (philly) and play my drum with a cardboard sign saying “help a brother out”. So this morning I did just that. So I got an old cardboard box out of the trash and made a sign, then got my drum, and hopped on the train(i actually had to borrow money for the train which help me get in the right frame of mind). Off I went. I walked around the city to try to find a busy area that people might have cash to throw at me. So I stopped sat down and started pounding out the beats letting the rhythm flow through the streets. It was a glorious sound and I was positive it moved the souls of all around me. I did this for maybe an hour or more. It was in the heat of the day(not to brite on my part). With probably heat index of 110, just a guess. But as i continued to pour out the refreshing sound of my drum, I knew that the rhythm was moving people. The Rhythem moved the people so much, that they never stopped to drop money in my hat. So, as long as I look at it that way my day was a success. All well. So my conclusion is people in Philly are cheap. But hey you know, you only live once and I always wondered how lucrative hustling on the streets was. I found out I should never go homeless cause I’m not good at it. So there it is, yet ANOTHER exciting day from the lens of Chris Schwartz.
